Toys are selected with a focus on materials, durability and safety rather than novelty or volume. I favour simple designs, natural or responsibly sourced materials and clear information about finishes, coatings and manufacturing practices. This reflects both child development research and concerns around long-term exposure to plastics, dyes and poorly regulated materials. Fewer, better made toys form the basis of this collection.
